Development Impact Policy and Planning

Mainstreaming SDGs

The Development Impact Policy and Planning (DIPP) Pillar aims to support sustainable development in Jordan by undertaking appropriate policy and programmatic interventions for integrating sustainable development goals and principles in the national development planning frameworks, and UNDP’s work in general. The UNDP is engaging with governmental agencies to enable an effective, coherent institutional framework for 2030 Agenda implementation that is gender-sensitive in its nature and focuses on youth empowerment and participation. The focus of this Pillar is on advocating for improved policies, procedures and financing mechanisms, data exchange and tracking systems, enhanced accountability as well as strengthened donor coordination mechanisms that will emphasize the importance of leadership, national ownership and commitment as prerequisites to ensure impact and sustainability of efforts.
